Help us continue our work. Please consider making a gift or becoming one of our sustaining Holyoke Food and Equity Collective donors. Your donation is a tax-deductible donation through our fiscal sponsor Tiny Seed Project.
Our goals for 2025 include:
- Increase the number of bucket gardens distributed (to more than 97) and increase backyard garden beds builds to 16
- Fund half of each $40 seedling share paid for with SNAP, since HIP (Healthy Incentives Program) has been reduced to $20 per month
- Build 2-4 more community compost hubs in different locations around the city
- Continue distributing diapers twice a month to more than 75 families. To become a sustaining diaper donor, click here.
- Grow food to give away to Nipmuc and Kate’s Kitchen (450lbs or more).
- Put on 4 seasonal sliding-scale community dinners at Lighthouse Holyoke, each with a seasonal focus and speaker(s), with food by chef Neftalí Durán
- Continue gleaning efforts and find our niche since other orgs are also doing a lot of gleaning
- Continue our own anti-racism work and partner with other anti-racist organizations
- Continue to do policy work and advocate for HIP
